Easy Way of Disabling Webcams and other devices in Windows

I don’t put tape over my webcams, neither on my MacBooks, iOS Devices nor on my Windows machines. I refuse to be like that. If someone was honestly suspecting a malicious attacker would spy on them using their webcam, then I would argue that these people, if they were consistent, would also need to rip out the microphones of their devices.
On the other hand, I’m not that naive to think that there is no risk involved using such input devices.

Configure Windows “Offer Remote Assistance Helpers” Group (so it doesn’t vanish automatically)

I created a new user in an AD and wanted to add them to a local security group Offer Remote Assistance Helpers. When adding this group manually, it disappeared after reboot (after applying gpupdate /force).

Windows Gruppe “Remoteunterstützungsanbieter” einrichten (sodass sie nicht automatisch wieder verschwindet)

Ich wollte einen neuen User in einem AD anlegen und an einem PC in die lokale Gruppe Remoteunterstützungsanbieter aufnehmen. Beim manuellen hinzufügen der Gruppe verschwand diese aber nach einem Neustart (mit gpupdate /force) wieder.

Hosting my own Jitsi video conferencing server

So I decided to host my own jitsi video conferencing server.

I started this project after searching for video conferencing solutions with privacy in mind. After someone made me aware of Jitsi I started doing some research into this software. Jitsi is a free an open source software which pretty much exactly does what I want. Driven by curiosity I wanted to try this myself.
